How does this affect me?
Microsoft has reported internet connectivity issues that they are working to resolve. This will result in intermittent connectivity with SharePoint until the issue is resolved.

These services have been restored to full functionality. IT technicians will continue to monitor these services to ensure availability.
Update - May 2nd 6:17 pm
Microsoft has implemented a possible fix for the SharePoint Online issue and is currently ensuring that the issue has been resolved.

Microsoft is currently working to resolve their connectivity issues.
