Malwarebytes Licensing Expiration

Announcement - 10/01/2021

As of 10/1/2021 OSU's Site license for Malwarebytes expired. Due to multiple redundant features already offered by Microsoft Defender, OSU IT will no longer be maintaining a campus wide license for Malwarebytes Anti-Virus Software.

IT has contacted the vendor and is in the process of trying to acquire a 2 month extension on the license to ease the transition away from Malwarebytes. Individuals or departments who wish to maintain a license with Malwarebytes will need to contact the manufacturer directly to arrange continued coverage. There will be no lapse in virus protection during this time due to the continued placement of Microsoft Defender.
