How does this affect me?

The Primary Domain Controller for ad.okstate.edu and any systems that synchronize with its clock or with the NTP server directly will temporarily unavailable.

This hardware is being proactively replaced and should result in a minimal downtime.

While the NTP server is unavailable, systems with a reliance on it will fall back to their internal clocks. The very short duration of the downtime will not result in any appreciable discrepancy in time and the clocks will resynchronize once the new server is available.
